Unily named a leader in Intelligent Digital Workspaces by IDC
With the recent announcement that Unily has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Experience-Centric Intelligent Digital Workspaces 2024 Vendor Assessment, we dig into what this means for our mission and product.
Unily leads the intranet market
After being evaluated on our ability to provide tailored workspaces for a full spectrum of employees, Unily has been named a leader by IDC in their latest piece of research for our market. This means that the three major analyst firms in our space, Gartner, Forrester, and IDC, have all named Unily a leader in the market.
What is an IDC MarketScape?
IDC MarketScape is a key vendor assessment tool for the ICT industry, providing in-depth quantitative and qualitative technology market assessments of ICT vendors for a wide range of technology markets.
Offering a comprehensive assessment of market competitors and delivered in a full-length research report, it’s also summarized with an easy-to-read graphical depiction. This information is designed to empower decision-makers around technology choices.
Leaders in the IDC Marketscape perform well across capabilities and aligning to customer needs alongside alignment of future strategy to projected needs of customers. Unily has achieved the highest positioning of any vendor in the leader category of the IDC research.
Why is this important?
Through their research, analyst firms such as Gartner or Forrester evaluate the current situation in a given market and identify the best vendors operating within it.
These pieces of research help vendors themselves better understand the market in which they operate, equipping them with the knowledge needed to iterate, improve over time, and finesse their product for success.
In a fast-paced market with even faster moving technology, players are evolving rapidly. As a result, achieving a consistent leader position in these key analyst reports shows stability of execution and establishes a vendor as a partner here for the long term.
The IDC MarketScape report will further elevate the role of the employee experience platform, and further establish Unily as a key player in the market.
The definition of employee experience is continually evolving, however, that doesn’t mean it’s not of paramount importance to business leaders. As Gallup states, twice as many people left their job for ‘engagement and cultural’ reasons versus a more competitive pay packet.
As the definition of EX constantly evolves so too must the products seeking to elevate it. That’s why Unily released over 16 major new capabilities in 2023 alone.
This new piece of research from IDC reinforces the importance of employee experience, and we foresee that prospective customers in the market will use the to inform their decision-making, get quickly educated on the market for employee-centric workspaces, and understand how well vendors can respond to their needs.
