Building the hub for a collaborative culture with Unily
Unily is delighted to announce a partnership with WACKER to launch an intranet that will underpin a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing for 15k employees.
As a pioneer of modern chemistry, WACKER is a globally active company with more than 3.2k specialty chemical products. The organization is dedicated to developing intelligent solutions and innovative strategies for their customers in industries that range from electronics to consumer goods to biotechnology.
With a workforce spread across 24 production sites and subsidiaries and offices in 32 countries, WACKER sought to launch a digital hub that would connect team members within every role and division. Through seamless integrations with the Microsoft stack, the new intranet also serves as a home for core business applications and driver of productivity.

Reimagining knowledge sharing and innovation
The impetus behind WACKER’s new intranet stems from an enterprise-wide initiative to promote knowledge sharing and transparency and to replace a legacy platform that was more than 10 years old.

In our private lives, we are all familiar with digital platforms, which we use to get information, exchange views, network with other people, and collaborate. The new version of GLOBE has enabled us to create a contemporary user experience."
To turn this goal into a reality, teams were encouraged to contribute content to the new WACKER GLOBE, the enterprise’s intranet. Employees can search, sort, and filter resources to ensure critical information remains at their fingertips.
