The new Unily MCP Server connects employees to verified company knowledge through compatible enterprise AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Gemini.
LONDON — Sep 14, 2026 — stions about their company and receive answers grounded in the Unily content they are permitted to access.
Built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI applications to external data sources and tools, the Unily MCP Server enables compatible MCP clients to query Unily on a user’s behalf within that user’s permissions. After authentication and configuration, a connected client can retrieve current content from Unily. The server supports the Model Context Protocol specification dated July 28, 2026.
“Enterprise AI is only as useful as the information it can securely access,” said Sam Hassani, CTO at Unily. “The Unily MCP Server gives compatible AI tools a governed route to the workplace knowledge employees rely on, while respecting the permissions already managed in Unily. That helps organizations extend the value of their employee experience platform into the AI tools their people use.”
The native MCP server initially exposes tools for commonly requested information, including sites, content and news, people, and pages. Connections are designed to enforce the user’s existing Unily access rights and permissions. Requests can be logged to support auditability and traceability, subject to the customer’s configuration and applicable retention settings.
By making Unily’s governed workplace knowledge available within compatible AI experiences, organizations can reduce fragmented search, help employees find authoritative information faster, and extend existing content governance into emerging agent workflows.
The Unily MCP Server is available to eligible Unily customers. Customers should contact their Unily account team to confirm availability, technical requirements, supported clients, and deployment options for their environment.
