Unite 26 | The Digital Basecamp: How Arc’teryx Uses Bird Nest to Equip and Connect a Global Workforce

Unily

Your biggest brand moment deserves an internal launch as powerful as the one the world sees. Discover how Arc’teryx used Bird Nest to equip and connect more than 6,000 employees for the most significant launch in its history.

Session Overview

When Arc’teryx released System Zero, their framework for embedding circularity across the product lifecycle, their goal in Internal Comms was to ensure every employee felt part of the journey and could look back with a feeling of “I was at Arc’teryx when this happened”.

In this session, the team shares how they moved away from a typical comms program to really land the significance of this launch. Carla Kadi, Tia Gilmour, and Dan Lanigan (Arc’teryx) turned their employee experience platform, Bird Nest, into a digital basecamp to tease the launch with a countdown, and it then became the hub for employees to learn about and share the launch. The team also worked with learning and development, retail, and guest services to equip every employee to confidently tell the System Zero story when it mattered.

Discover how the team secured a seat at the planning table from day one, made the case for budget to film a highly successful video series in the mountains, and how every communication and social channel pointed back to Bird Nest as the single source of truth.

They share practical tips on reaching employees beyond the usual audience, how to run a successful homepage takeover, and how to gather the metrics that prove internal communications isn’t an overhead, but a growth lever.
