Unily recognized for innovation in supporting enterprise clients

The Lloyd’s Bank National Business Awards, an esteemed awards body that recognizes business leaders and innovators, has announced its shortlist for the 2020 awards with Unily named as a finalist in the Business Enabler of the Year category.

The prestigious awards, which has seen the likes of Hermes, DPD, and O2 grab top prizes in the past, honors the businesses that set new standards for excellence in their industries. For Unily, being named as finalists for this years’ awards – in a category spotlighting our work to empower our clients to strive for and achieve digital success – is a testament to the business' commitment to uniting global enterprises and providing close client support from design through to platform launch.

Setting up clients for success

We have a track record of success at industry awards where our clients are often recognized for their innovation in the internal comms and employee experience space. This time The Business Enabler of the Year award looks to shine a light on the work we at Unily do to elevate all our clients. It comes as a welcome recognition of our commitment to enhancing the employee experience across all industries.

Presenting to a panel of expert judges in September, the awards body will hear about Unily’s work over the last 12 months with the likes of Shell, Kantar, Kerzner, and many more global enterprises that Unily has helped to deliver on their digital strategies and power better work for everyone.

"When it comes to business recognition, the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards are the ones to win. They allow any successful organisation to tell their story, from large private and public companies, to thriving entrepreneurial businesses, promising start-ups and established SMEs."

Sarah Austin - National Business Awards Director

Why were we shortlisted?

Below we highlight some of the key judging criteria for the Business Enabler of the Year award and briefly highlight the reasons Unily has been selected for exceptional work in the field:

#1. Enhancing productivity and profitability

A key factor for success in business, for our clients’ long-term success, and for success at the National Business Awards is the ability to enhance the efficiency and profitability of a business.

To these criteria, Unily gains full marks.

Citing our ongoing work with Shell that has saved them $42m annually across the business and over 3.5k employee hours per day, Unily’s work on The Hub has been a major part of our recognition at this years’ awards.

Especially during a turbulent 2020, employee productivity has been a focus for countless enterprises across the world. The move towards flexible remote working has placed an impetus on ensuring continuity and profitability, so Unily’s ability to significantly enhance the efficiency of employees’ work has been a point of praise from the National Business Awards’ judging panel.

#2. Prioritizing employee experience

With our innovative employee experience platform at the heart of our offering, enhancing the day-to-day lives of employees and powering better work is at the core of what we do at Unily.

This commitment to a better future of work has seen us recognized by industry experts, global clients, and award bodies over the years, and is what drives us forward as we continue to deliver outstanding digital solutions for the modern enterprise.

Our recognition for empowering employees by the National Business Awards is a particular point of pride for Unily, as it serves as justification for our tireless efforts to improve the employee experience through meaningful digital interactions.

#3. Culture and leadership

During what has been, for many enterprises, a trying year, the need for organizations to clearly define and communicate their culture has never been more important. As digital leadership takes on a greater role in the modern enterprise, the Unily platform has established itself as a leading solution for businesses to embed their culture in every facet of the business, from their leadership to the digital experience.

Unily’s work with Trivallis, which itself was honored at both the Ragan and Employee Engagement awards this year, was a standout for these criteria. Deservedly winning the Best Use of Technology and Best Intranet awards at the two global awards, Unily and Trivallis’ efforts to embed a culture of wellbeing and employee support serves as a stellar example of the power of the Unily platform.

#4. Communicating identity and values

Communication is crucial to delivering effective employee experience. That’s a sentiment you can find across our blog, and one that is shared by the National Business Awards’ judging panel.

The Unily employee experience platform is designed and built to become the lynchpin of employee communications, a hub for everyone to stay connected to the content, information, and tools they need to do their best work.

Unily’s partnership with dorma+kaba to assist the two merging companies in establishing their new brand identity across their digital landscape stood out in this category, as did our work with Stantec to build a modern digital newsroom for communicating culture.

Capping off a successful 2020

Shortlisted as finalists in seven categories at the Inspiring Workplaces Awards later this year, winners at the Employee Engagement Awards and Ragan Awards in early 2020, and now finalists at the National Business Awards, Unily looks set to build upon another successful year.

"To receive this recognition from as renowned an organization as the National Business Awards is an extremely exciting moment for us. As a company founded in the UK, being recognized by the National Business Awards is a proud moment and opportunity to reflect on our success as the company continues to grow. We are eager for our chance to present to the judges and can’t wait to find out if we’ve won the top prize."
