Forrester's 'Now Tech: Intranet Platforms, Q1 2020' report provides a guide for selecting and launching an intranet platform. Led by Forrester Research's Cheryl McKinnon, the report recognizes Unily as, "a trusted source of communication and content designed to educate and empower employees and improve workplace experiences."
Forrester, the leading global research and advisory firm, produces the report to analyze vendors' market presence and functionality. The Now Tech Report helps stakeholders navigate the process of selecting an intranet vendor by offering an in-depth comparison of different provider's features, functionality, and services. The report categorizes each solution into packaged applications, customizable frameworks, and productivity suite extensions, with Unily featuring under all three.
Other key report findings
At its core, the report suggests that the two most critical components of any intranet are that it is customized to suit the needs of end-users and backed by a strategy that puts employee experience first.
In the report, Forrester set out four key aspects of an intranet platform that ensure continued success:
#1. Manage and curate content to make information findable. Publish relevant content and tag it appropriately to engage employees. Keep things short and sweet, favor audio and video, and encourage users to publish content
#2. Harness insights and encourage collaboration and idea exchange to fuel innovation. Open all communication channels to connect colleagues and facilitate ideation across an enterprise
#3. Leverage and learn from the analytics and data your platform generates. Plan and strategize based on user behavior and usage data and implement informed improvements
#4. Make sure your communications are timely, targeted, and tell employees everything they need to know. Make sure your intranet meets the needs of its users and answers the questions every employee persona has.
