We are pleased to announce that BrightStarr has been named a finalist for the 2016 Microsoft Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year Award for the second year running. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation based on their implementation of Unily within The Hershey Company.

The Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year Award recognizes the Unily platform for its  power to increase customers’ employee productivity, simplify their access to information and people, maximize their ability to share and use a variety of documents, and enable a more efficient and effective workforce.

“We are grateful to receive this award for the second year in row” said Dan Diefendorf, SVP Unily Platform, BrightStarr. “This year’s award, based on our work with The Hershey Company, specifically acknowledges the power of the Unily platform and Microsoft technologies to unite and propel collaboration within global, enterprise organizations.”

“With the introduction of SharePoint, Yammer, Skype for Business and now Unily, we have connected people to people, and people to content so we are all able to ‘work smarter together.”  said Michael Wetzel, Manager of Business Transformation – Corporate Systems, The Hershey Company.

Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,500 entrants from 119 countries worldwide.

“We are honored to recognize BrightStarr as this year’s finalist for the 2016 Microsoft Collaboration and Content award,” said Gavriella Schuster, general manager, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. BrightStarr is a prime example of the excellent talent we see in our Microsoft partner community to deliver innovative and transformative solutions to our mutual customers.”

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.

Katy Smith Marketing Manager

Katy’s role may not be customer facing, but her work is usually what new clients see first. If it’s beautifully presented, informative, and has a BrightStarr logo on it, she’s normally been involved. Her role is broad, but Katy is a determined go-getter who makes things happen. She looks after the marketing team in the UK, marketing strategy for both sides of the Atlantic, and develops both the BrightStarr and Unily brands. Tactically, that means her team controls everything from ensuring the site comes up in internet search results, to the look and feel of your consultant’s business card.

Katy came from a fashion background, obtaining her degree from Leeds University and via interning at a major women’s magazine, and now applies that same finesse to the BrightStarr brand identity.
